Saturday's doings...

The fresh food and drink supply was getting skimpy so this morning I packed up the RV and headed for Gallatin and Jamesport. Wow! Did I ever luck out!!! ;-) The Pamida hold on had lots of stuff on clearance and all that was another 40% off. I got a 14x12 ft screen room and a camper's kitchen for about $50 total. Now I will undergo a whole other room for my domiciliate ;-) I splurged to get a rice cooker and bleed pot for $10 each. Now I can create from raw material beans and rice and other cheap cram. I wasn't planning on it but there on the shelf was a Food Saver marked down and begging to go home with me. Not bad for $40. I stopped at the local hold on for their specials and the Dollar Store for cheap canned meats and 75 packets of seeds for $10. Then on to Jamesport. It was crowded! Got my usual cinnamon raisin cover at the Amish bakery and decided to try out a new to me bulk hold on. Then to the big and bustling Amish hold on. I stocked up on beans rices dried fruits and flours. I feel a lot better with a hefty box of all that in my lay aside. That food will be the basis of many meals for months to go. I'm not sure if the do work I stopped at was Amish or Mennonite. I got a cantaloupe bigger than most watermelons for $1.50 and an absolutely humongous winter squash for $1.25 a peck of apples for $2.50 a basket of tomatoes for $1 and a pint of freshly made sorghum for $3.50. After spending hours shopping. I REALLY splurged and forked over $5 for a fried chicken salad. It came in a family sized serving bowl. I ate the WHOLE thing. That's what happens when I forget breakfast and lunch ;-pAll in all a fun day.. but I am sore from head to toes and can barely put compel on my feet. Oooops! Overdid it again....[ADVERTHERE]Related article:
